Under skies untouched by light, meet the universe face to face.
Mount Suswa sits far from any city, beneath skies all but free of light pollution. On a clear night the Milky Way does not merely appear — it arches overhead in three-dimensional depth, the kind of sky most people alive today have never actually seen. Our star-gazing sessions begin after dinner and run late into the night.
Guides point out constellations visible from the equator, explain the celestial navigation the Maasai have used for generations, and make the incomprehensible scale of what is above you feel, for once, close.
The Milky Way in full, planets, satellites tracking across the dark, and — depending on the season — meteor showers and the dust lanes of the galactic core. Telescopes and binoculars are provided for closer views of the moon, Jupiter, Saturn, and deep-sky objects.
Come for an evening, or stay overnight in the crater and let the sky be the last thing you see before sleep and the first thing you see when you wake.

We are the custodians of the Double Crater. Suswa Trails was born from the dust of the Rift Valley, designed to bridge the gap between the modern soul and the ancient earth.
